Rules of Engagement:

On Net to Off Net:

  • Applicable products for promotion are: Metro Ethernet Private and Dedicated, WDM 2.5 and 10 Gig Basic and Enhanced unprotected and protected, Metro IP, Long Haul Waves with Managed or Unmanaged Tails and Fiber Optic Infrastructure where, for any of these, one of the locations is Off Net.

  • Minimum of a 26 month or 39 month contract.

  • For the ONE location OFF NET (up to 1000 feet from the AboveNet Backbone via AboveNet’s Sales Engineers MapPoint), there will be NO CHARGE for the Off Net lateral or riser construction (does not include special cases such as railroad, bridges or river crossings).

  • For the ONE location ON NET, in building riser charges will be waived for qualified promotion deals only.

  • Customer is responsible to secure building access rights for lateral and riser construction.

  • Customers receive 2 or 3 months FREE based on the initial term signed on the AboveNet contract. (If customer signs a 26 month contract, they will receive the 25th and 26th months free and if customer signs a 39 month contract they will receive the 37th, 38th and 39th months free).

  • If a customer is greater than 1000 feet from our Backbone, the first 1000 feet of construction charges will be waived and the customer would be required to pay for the additional footage via NRC or NRC / MRC.

  • This promotion is NOT valid for products sold in the NYC / New Jersey marketplace.

  • Off Net Promo does NOT apply to Standard Ethernet or 1 Gig WDM Waves.

  • Promotion is good from September 1st, 2008 through December 31st, 2008.

  • All contracts must be fully executed by Customer and countersigned by AboveNet by December 31st, 2008 to qualify for the promotion.
