AboveNet Wins the City of London’s Considerate Contractor Gold Award for the Second Year in a Row

LONDON, 3^rd, November, 2008 – AboveNet Communications UK Ltd., a leading provider of fibre optic connectivity solutions for business and carriers and a subsidiary of AboveNet Inc., has been named a Gold Award recipient in the City of London’s annual Considerate Contractor Scheme (CCS) for the second year in a row. The awards ceremony was held on Friday 31^st October 2008, at Plaisterers Hall in London.

The CCS serves to encourage building and civil engineering contractors working in the City to carry out their operations in a safe and considerate manner, with due regard to passing pedestrians and road users.  AboveNet is delighted to have been named as one of the companies to win the Gold Award this year, and pleased to be recognised for this industry accolade for the second consecutive year. The Gold Award recognises that the requirements of the Code of Good Practice have been consistently exceeded and as such, further supports AboveNet’s commitment to delivering its services in line with the industry’s strict specifications.
