AboveNet Adds World Telecom Group as Master to Agent Program NEW YORK, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AboveNet announced today that it has added World Telecom Group as a Master Agent in its Agent Program. AboveNet is building a strong relationship with Master Agent, World Telecom (WTG) through its National Agent program and E3 Strategy. The E3 program offers WTG greater clarity of standard pricing for 90% of their agents' opportunities. The process is simple and efficient and allows for quick distribution of information to the end users. Complex opportunities such as WDM and Dark Fiber require more time for pricing and attention to customer requirements which is part of the dedicated agent support offered by the AboveNet Agent team, making our overall pre-sales process a great success for WTG. According to WTG's Vince Bradley, "AboveNet has significantly stepped up their agent support and provisioning. They have been extremely easy to work with. AboveNet's services are designed to meet the complex communications needs of carriers and Fortune 1000 enterprises which will help our agent partners to move and/or sell up market." The primary value of WTG in the Agent channel is to leverage their reach and relationships in the agent community. "We feel that when you combine that reach and those relationships with the fabulous AboveNet fiber assets, you have a very powerful value proposition for bandwidth hungry customers," said MaryBeth Nance, Director of Business Development. "WTG's agent community helps AboveNet provide value added bandwidth solutions that form the basis for long and profitable relationships with end user customers."
